Esther M Jimenez

Esther Jimenez, 95, died December 24, 2017 at the Sitrin Nursing Home in New Hartford, New York with members of her family near her side.
She was born on February 23, 1922 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico to Felix and Emilia Aviles Fernandez.
Esther is survived by her children Manuel of Bangor, Pennsylvania (wife, Marlene); Fernando of Melville, New York (wife Mayra); and Rosa Posh of Burlington Flats, New York (husband, John). Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel, and daughters Mary and Migdalia (Lali).
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday January 6th at the Delker and Terry Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Edmeston, New York with Pastor Barry Davis of the Burlington Green Baptist Church officiating. Calling hours will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will be in Burlington Green Cemetery. Arrangements are with NYS Licensed Funeral Director David Delker of Delker and Terry Funeral Home, Edmeston, NY.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to UNICEF USA for children victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. WWW.UNICEFUSA.org/donate.

You took all the children along with you’re own (5 ) under you’re wing like the Awesome mother you were. I will never forget you’re jokes and lively demeanor. You’re love of life.
