Jessica M. Gaston

Jessica M. Gaston, 33, of Utica, formerly of Edmeston, passed away unexpectedly in Utica, NY.

Jessica was born on January 1, 1984 in Norwich, NY the daughter of William L. and Tammy M. Martin Gaston Jr. She was pre-deceased by grandparents William and Arlene Gaston Sr and Ronald and Shirley Martin.

She is survived by her parents William L. Jr and Tammy M. Martin Gaston of Edmeston, sister April Gaston of NJ, brother William L. Gaston III of Edmeston, nieces Saffiyah, Zainab, and Rose, nephews Mohammed, and Riley. Also surviving are many aunts uncles and cousins.

Jessica was a 2002 graduate of Edmeston Central School, where she played soccer, basketball, and ran track. She was an accomplished singer, and musician playing the trumpet. In addition, she was recognized by the NYSSMA for her musical talents competing in All State. Jessica attended SUNY Oneonta majoring in Music Industry, and was currently working for Bank of America in customer service while studying Forensic Science.

Jessica was an animal lover. Her pride and joy was her Rottweiler Shiva. Shiva was always by her side, and was trained to do many tricks. Often times Jessica would spend time with her dad watching movies, attending an SU game, or watching his jazz band perform. She will be remembered as a beautiful woman that loved her family.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday September 9, 2017 at the Burlington Flats Baptist Church with Pastor Jay Henderson officiating. Calling hours will be Friday September 8 from 3-5:00 PM and 7-9:00 PM at the Delker and Terry Funeral Home 30 South Street Edmeston, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rottweiler rescue of ones choice in loving memory of Jessica.
